Adult Acute Care & Geriatric Nurse Practitioner
Laura Lima is the founder and owner of New Age Healthcare & Wellness. Laura is a board certified Adult Acute Care and Geriatric Nurse Practitioner with a subspecialty in Cardiology. She has worked in the healthcare industry for over 2 decades, beginning her career as a certified nursing assistant at a local nursing home. She went on to receive her BSN from St. Anselm College of Nursing in 2003.
After working as a bedside nurse, leader, and preceptor on a Cardiac Unit, she earned her Masters degree with honors from the University of Massachusetts Medical School in 2012. She worked as a Pulmonary/Critical Care Nurse Practitioner until she found her passion in Vascular Surgery. She has a vast knowledge of arterial and venous disease, as well as management of medically complex patients and wounds.
Laura is the recipient of a local Community Award for precepting Nurse Practitioner students. She is also a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
